Week 2 JCS tour
So sorry this is late. I wanted to send it out last week but the internet connection was horrible. So here you go!
Last week our first stop was in beautiful Portland Oregon. There we played at the magnificent Portland Theater. I must say that this city is a sleeper town; I loved every minute of it and can’t wait to visit again. I was thoroughly impressed with how clean and bustling this town is and from what I experienced very nice people; we had a blast I had no idea…ha. We stayed in a beautiful modern and chique hotel to remain nameless for privacy purposes, but it was awesome. The shows were stellar as the audiences were the best we have had up to this point, thank you Portland. The theater was gorgeous and it was easy to sing with the great sound system and beautiful ambiance, I thought that balcony was gonna go on forever, I felt like we were singing in Carnegie Hall or something. I just want to thank the rush of audience members and fans that visited my table after the show; it was very nice to meet you. Thanks for taking pics and asking for autographs and especially purchasing the CD and posters. I hope you enjoy it. I just want to send a special thanks to the newest members of the site by either adding themselves, or us adding you. If that is the case then please remember to visit the members and fill out the form so that we can know more about you to send updates when we are near you. We went on to Kamloops British Columbia, CA, where I woke up in Ted’s bus as I traveled with him that night to a stunning mountainous snow filled valley town. Ted, Christian Sass (Mary) had an early press event on their local TV station which went very well and will be posted as soon as I get it. We did a 10 minute interview on their midday show to promote the show that night. We played at their hockey arena which was a different set up than being in a theater. Especially considering the fact that there was ice under our stage and our feet were cold b/c most of us wear open toe shoes in the show. I don’t mind the cold, but if my feet are cold we got problems, but it wasn’t too bad. The sound was a bit challenging being that it was in an arena so we had some issues but the crowd seemed to love it. I met a lot of cool people after the show a lot of which bought the CD and I am grateful. I hope you are enjoying it as well. That was a one nighter and we packed our bags and moved onto Vancouver. I was so excited even before we started when I learned that were stopping in Vancouver. I have some of my dearest friends there and it was cool that it all worked out and a lot of them were able to come to the show and hang out for the two days that we were there. The shows were great and what a great theater we played in at the Centre. The audiences again were stellar and the shows were electric. I am getting more comfortable with developing the character of Judas and I finding new things and new moments that I think will be more effective as time goes on. The character will definitely be different and more polished at the end of the run from the start of the run. Nonetheless, I found moments that I am happy with in Vancouver. Thanks to all the people that came up to me after the show and bought CD's and posters and gave the nice compliments, I appreciate it. OK so I have to add that we had a blast hanging out on the town. All my beautiful girls are amazing and I love each of them to bits. Vancouver was and is an amazing time, if you have never been please make it a destination, it is like a second home for me. The 2010 winter Olympics will be held there and it will be exciting to be there during that time and want to be there; I hope I see you there. I cannot say enough great things about this wonderful city. Still getting spoiled with the standing ovations...haha. Thanks to all my new friends and everybody reading this! Hope you are enjoying the holiday season! NYC/Week 1 JCS tour
Rehearsal for the show was in NYC and it was cool in many ways. First I got to be back in NYC for a full 2 weeks as I haven't spent that much time in the city since I moved to Las Vegas. I love NYC, it taught me so much about life and myself. I learned alot of hands on training just from observing the greats at work. I am grateful for people like Billy Porter, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Audra Mcdonald, Adrian Bailey, B.J. Crosby, Julia Murney, Simone, Toni Braxton, and countless many of entertainers and business people that have helped shaped me into the artist that I am today. So it was nice to reminisce on the life I had in New york as a Musical theatre performer in the time that I was there putting up the show.
Secondly it was great because I got to catch up with alot of friends that I haven't seen in years. And it happens often in NYC when you're walking down the street and you see somebody you never thought you'd see again, that could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on the circumstance...haha. But it happened and I got to see some great people who have been in my life, I only wish I had more time to see them all. Thirdly, It was one of the dreams to play the role that I am playing of Judas and I feel that I was born to this role in a way, it is one of the best written male characters of modern day. So it was cool putting it all together with the new cast. I was so excited because I heard about this production from a friend on facebook and did what i could to be seen. I told myself that if I get a chance to do this role I will do it...I would love to do it on film when they remake it for theaters, really I would:) But now that it is up and running I am having a great time developing and creating new things about the character. We put the show in Alto New Mexico, why? don't ask me. It is quite a beautiful place, but I felt self- concious because I thought I couldn't sing the role anymore. Mainly because we were so high up in the altitude we all had trouble breathing and that is the main key to singing. I was breathing in places I have never breathed before and it was troublng me as to what was going on. We opened in Colorado springs and then Greely Colorado and it was still high elevation. It wasn't til Palm Desert California that I begin to feel a little more confident as I could breathe and figured out that it was the elevation factor. The shows were still good, but there is a big difference now than in the beginning. The cast is a great group of fun people and it seems as though we are getting along. I can tell that we all love the show and are giving 100% each night and it feels good when you have that in a work environment. It is especially gratifying when we hear the cheers and standing ovations every night... I will try not to get spoiled:) 4/26/07 Diamond Princess
All I have to say is that it was like a rock concert…haha. Wow what a good time I had with you guys on the Diamond. Sue thank you for being my photo girl and Donna you’re gonna have to learn the hip hop song for the next time, I saw you singing along with me. Gena you rock the house, I don’t know why you were sitting all the way in the back being shy ;-). I think the show was stolen by my little friend Stetson…YEAH BABY, I think we have a future star on our hands watch out. Thank you all again for the great compliments please refer that to Princess so they can ask me back. I hope you had a great rest of your vacation week feel free to tell me all about it. All my love.

This was my second time on the Jewel and what a time I had with the shows and the passengers. You guys were so much fun. First of all, it was blast hanging out with some of you in Cozumel, Mexico at Senor Frogs. You guys know how to party. Thank you for being such great audiences. Both shows were pumping, and it was nice to get to know you all as we partied together. Chris, thank you young man for your compliments, and Rachel, like I said, when someone says they are inspired by my work, I am humbled and I know that I am doing what I set out to do. I had to disembark in Grand Cayman, and it was hard to leave because I wanted to stay and party with you. I hope you all had a great rest of the week. Thank you. I hope you keep in touch. Until we meet again...

I had the best time on my trip through the Caribbean; it was smooth sailing all the way. I flew into St. Marten on a delayed flight because of the huge storm in the US Northeast and spent the night on the bay to the swelling of the ocean. I joined the Serenade of the Seas in the morning and prepared for my show, which I was so excited about. My show was the next night and both shows rocked... don’t you think? It was nice to meet you all, and it was nice to be back on the beautiful ship with some familiar staff faces. I hope the family that I met on the elevator enjoyed the show. It seemed as though my boy wasn’t having fun; next time tell him that arm folding is not allowed in my show, haha! CALDONIA! The energy in the room was off the chain in both shows. I know most of you didn’t know who I was, so thanks for sticking around. And Beatrice thank you for your stellar photographer work. check out the results in the album link below! My kudos to David for knowing all the words to rapper’s delight…dude if I were to give you more time on stage, I would have had to quit…good job buddy. And Teo, my beautiful birthday girl, take care of that beautiful voice. Finally to the cast, thank you for your support and jam session. We have to do it again! The cast and I hung out with Matt Yee the last night and sang almost all night. I hope those who were there enjoyed it. Until we meet again….One Love

Who decides who we obsess about in the celebrity world and why? The majority of society talks of how they can't stand Paris Hilton and how talent less she is and so on; we all know this for a fact. Yet she remains at the top and in our faces almost on a daily basis. We know how she came on the scene with her sex video and yet she remains to be praised, for what??? I am not a hater I am deeply perplexed. She has infiltrated our society on the internet, television and even movie screens. Now she has tapped into our radio waves by recording an album. To top it off young kids are looking to her as a role model; what next? There was a survey taken with young kids ages 5-15 in 2006 and the most important things to them when they grow up is being famous, rich and beautiful; talk about a future shallow society…thanks Paris! This to me is a prime example of how lax we have become with our standards of entertainment and role models, is there any integrity anymore? And how are kids supposed to grow up and have integrity if it is not taught? So who decides who we obsess about in the celebrity world do we have the power to change it? I think we do. This is just my opinion, what do I know?
11/30/06 Grand Princess
i had an amazing time on the grand princess this past week. we sailed from galveston, texas through the gulf coast to costa maya then we were off to rotan honduras which was beautiful, as it rained most the day, but the rain was misty like a rain forest…just stunning. we then went to belize which i didn’t get off because the tender was a 20 minute ride, so i stayed on the ship to finish reading my book and relax it was nice view though. the final stop for me at least was cozumel, mexico which is one of my favorite destinations i was there years ago and my how busy it has become since. you must go and party at carlos and charlies. the thing that impresses me the most is how blue the ocean is, it is the bluest blue i have ever seen, and then i witness some of the most gorgeous sunsets. you have to see it with your own eyes. nonetheless, the shows went great! i taught the band my show wednesday afternoon and did two shows that night. i received two standing ovations for both shows and met some really nice people who said it was the best show they had seen thus far on the cruise. i am excited to do another princess cruise. i had a blast and i want to extend a thank you to all the people who i met and were so kind to me. i can’t wait to meet you again. thanks for tuning in... talk to you soon.
9/3/06 Sahara
Closing night at the Sahara Hotel and Casino in the Casbar Theatre lounge was nothing short of a good time. My band and I performed for a full house as the audience was on their feet dancing and singing on the dance floor. The lounge was so full, people were outside dancing by the slot machines. This was a night to remember, wish you could have been there. For those of you who were there… thanks for your support… check out some of the smiling faces below!
