James Delisco

James Delisco also known as 'Delisco' is often described as a cross between Lenny Kravitz and Usher, bringing you piercing, powerful vocals, live band production, and undeniable stage presence. His soul sublime and frayed original music is where classic quality meets edgy rock and soul style. "An iconoclastic performer with orgiastic energy," Delisco emanates "old school charisma that is noticeably missing in contemporary performances and in the market driven performers who sacrifice musical integrity for the quick record deal," raves Erica Hector Vital. Delisco has the uncanny ability to rouse the crowd into dance and song and send them from the scene awed, ecstatic, and inspired.

Mr. Delisco is fresh off his successful first international live production show slated summer 2008 in Macau, China. There he fronted his new band (904) formerly 'Take9" for a 7-week sit down engagement in the Bellini lounge at the Venetian Hotel Resort Casino. A self-made Entrepreneur, he is currently enjoying living one of his childhood dreams of jet setting the world and Headlining on numerous cruise lines including, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Royal Caribbean International, Holland America, Princess, and Celebrity, through his companies JDB productions and RaGaBaR, LLC.

Mr. Delisco brings a wealth of talent that hasn't been seen since the days of Sammy Davis Jr. with his vast musical knowledge, and vocal and dance abilities. As a Broadway veteran, he is also a seasoned actor that powerfully commands the roles that he plays as he keeps the audience on the edge of their seats and brings them to their feet each night.

Evidence of this was in 2006 when Delisco starred in the role of Judas Iscariot at the North Shore Music Theatre in Massachusetts where his performance was nominated best actor for the 2007 IRNE awards. Critics rave: 'Impressive is Delisco in the role of Judas Iscariot, a man known for a single act of betrayal, but a character who has a nuanced story to tell. Both Rodriguez (JC) and Delisco (Judas) share the spotlight and the audience's sympathy' -Gina Perrille, Boston Globe;...'Quite moving and resoundingly appropriate' -Norm Gross www.pmpnetwork.com. Since playing that role Delisco has long dreamed to revive, develop, and perfect the character of Judas Escariot once more both live and on the big screen.

His most recent run of performances in Las Vegas is exemplary of his appeal to the mainstream audience, launched by his headlining debut at the Las Vegas Hilton, which opened to rave reviews, in September 2005. He made his television debut on the E! Network's reality series "The Entertainer," hosted by Mr. Las Vegas, Wayne Newton, in the spring of 2005. Delisco won the title of “The Entertainer” after singing and dancing into the hearts of many, competing with nine other contestants from a pool of over 25,000.

With his solo career on the rise, Delisco played to sold out audiences in Berlin, Germany, a testament to both the mystery & intrigue of Delisco, virtually an unknown to European audiences before he erupted onto the scene. His latest performances have included venues around the globe including House of Blues, Retox Rock Bar, Downtown Cabaret Theatre, Club Barcode, Chameleon Studios, and many others.

Mr. Delisco is originally from Jacksonville, FL and continued to hone his craft in New York City. Formerly a principal in the Broadway hit Aida in the role of (Mereb); Delisco has been described by Sir Elton John as "great" and moved the late Peter Jennings to exclaim "Man You Rock!" Delisco also starred on Broadway in 1997 in "Smokey Joe's Cafe" playing the role of James. He was featured in the Broadway hit musical "Ragtime" in 1998. Delisco appeared numerous times on New York's 92.7FM live radio show "Munchamba Live," performing his original music and poetry.

Mr. Delisco’s many achievements, however, are grounded in humble beginnings. Delisco uses his personal story to reach out to the next generation of children. His very first memories are of being traumatically abused and abandoned in the foster care system. Through mental, physical and emotional abuse, Delisco was forced not to speak or cry until he was five years old. Such abuse left him close to death, at which time, Delisco’s Grandmother, generous far beyond her means, gave him a home. He discovered the power of his voice when he sang for the first time in the fourth grade talent show, where no eye was without a tear.

Mr.Delisco realized singing was his outlet to overcome his destitute life. However, it was a live charity concert by Michael Jackson that inspired him to set the goals necessary to achieve his dream of becoming the ultimate entertainer. Now Delisco sets forth his music and life story as an inspiration for others who have been through similar hardships. Delisco’s Lil’ Angel Project was formed to encourage students through artistic presentations, using life experience to educate, relate, and heal, children are given tools for creative development to find an imaginative outlet of their own. www.lilangelproject.org

Having seen his share of success on the Broadway stage, clubs, radio, television, cruise ships, Las Vegas, and now internationally his current goal is to achieve additional success as an original recording artist. Delisco’s debut single, the LA Music Award Nominated, 'better side of me…’ was released in October 2006, and recently went #1 on Engage Internet Radio. His self-titled full-length album dropped on January 25th, and hit #9 on the charts in Boston in its first week, with college radio play continuing to grow all over the nation. Through his innovative new music style, electrifying vocal ability, inspirational lyrics, and thrilling performance skills, Delisco is just in time to ring in a new era of artistic ingenuity for the 21st Century.

Music Makers

          -Ash-
          Guitar and Songwriting

John Aschettino aka Johnny Ash, or as John’s friends and Delisco insist on, simply “Ash”, was born and raised on Long Island, NY, where he began playing guitar at the age of 12 and was instantly hooked. With no formal training except for a few lessons here and there, Ash would put in tapes of favorite rock bands and try to imitate everything he heard. After a few years, he began listening to other types of music, including jazz, classical and R&B, and he began to incorporate them into his playing, which in turn helped him to develop his performing and writing style today.

In mid-2002, Ash left a dance, funk, R&B group to concentrate fully on writing and recording his own CD of original guitar instrumental music. (Insert plug here: “Johnny Ash, The Demos” is currently available for sale in the ‘Store’ section of this website!) It was during this time that he met Delisco at a show, where each of them was performing. Delisco was presenting original poetry, while Ash was displaying his original and improvised music. Impressed with each other’s performance, the two developed a mutual respect for one another and began working on original music. To the present day, he continues to perform, write, and record with Delisco. Ash thanks God, Mom and Dad, and the rest of his family and friends for all their love and support.
